What’s in the bucket?
I went fishing in the Darling River on the weekend and caught 10 fish. The fish are in this bucket. What kinds of fish do you think might be in the bucket? How many of each kind? What kinds of fish (or things) might not be in the bucket? Why do you think that?
Use the ‘mystery bucket’ of fish (cut-outs) as a means of engaging students in discussion about fishing and what might/might not be in the bucket.
