Day 1 – We’re going fishing
Mystery bucket
Bucket (with lid) containing 10 ‘fish cut-outs’

Word wall
Generate using Wordle.  Alternatively, write responses on a large piece of butcher’s paper or cardboard.

Clothesline
Clothesline/sturdy string (long enough to stretch across the classroom), clothes pegs, 5 chance cards, coloured card (approx. 210mm x 99mm) for students to write on, textas to write on cards

Day 2 – Indoor fishing
For Indoor Fishing, each group will need:

  • 1 large container
  • 20 cut-out fish with paper clip attachments (1 paper clip per fish).

  • 1 fishing stick (students can make these using a rod/stick, some string, and a magnet)
